This post is about a month overdue, but due to my hectic schedule for work and play, I haven’t had the time to sit down and really summarize this little project I did to myself.
My first day was 2/22/12 and I received my fitness profile on 3/9/12. My final fitness assessment from Body Design was on 6/1/12. I was very pleased with the results but felt I could have done better. In the home stretch, I was going on so many trips and I’m still adjusting to eating proper on the road. I tried to make as smart decisions as I could while traveling but definitely caved on occasion.
My results:
- I lost 4.29% in Body Fat
- I lost 7 lbs of Fat
- I gained 3 lbs of Muscle
- I lost 2 inches off my waist
- I lost 3 inches off my hips
- My flexibility and strength stayed about the same ( I did 16 more crunches in a minute and same # of push ups, same amount of reach for flexibilty)
- And, I dropped a size in my pants (which honestly is the only thing I care about besides my Body Fat).
Here is a before and after and also midway points….

See a difference? The last picture is taken about a week apart (week 8, week 9, week 10). Just emphasizes patience one has to have to see results. But in the past 3 weeks, I feel like the results are really starting to show.
My photo shoot is postponed till August (I’m trying to get one in July, but we’ll see). Since the 10 weeks came to an end, I’ve started eating Paleo for dinner and am ”officially” starting Crossfit next week (I’ve done it before, but never continuously). I also have signed up for a Crossfit inspired race on June 30th, fingers crossed I don’t just give up from exhaustion half way through lol.
I do want to take a second to thank my trainers and everyone who supported me with this. I had more girls send me “before” pictures of themselves for inspiration and I can’t wait to see the “afters!” Its a very personal thing to challenge yourself and to share your results and not something I took lightly. I by no means enjoy sharing my pictures on the internet. You can hardly find pictures of me in a bikini on facebook (except from a ridiculous trip to Tybee with some besties), but it definitely did hold me accountable. Especially when I ran into people at restaurants or bars who said they followed my blog….definitely made me rethink ordering that cheeseburger and fries at 1am!!!
Once I book my photoshoot, I will let everyone know and probably start phase 2 lol. Thanks again to everyone who followed this and kept me motivated!

I almost passed out in kickbox yesterday. I think it was a mix between a migraine and trying to minimize carbs….Why does the stuff that tastes soooo good have to be so bad for you? I mean, I can only eat so much chicken.

Inspired by my day last night (as we ate pizza at Fellini’s) for he has lost so much weight in the past several weeks! He’s fitting into the suit he wore on his wedding day for an upcoming meeting! I, however, have not lost a pound. But that’s my fault, clearly I’m not eating up to par. Plus I wasn’t able to make my session with Body Design yesterday due to the fact that I now have an hour commute each way and had to meet someone to buy the dresser we were selling (hooray for Craigslist!).
Today, I will leave work at 5:00. I have to go to the Chiropractor, but then I WILL go to Unit 2…so I can do awesome things like this.

I love how positive this is for those of us who work out on their lunch break….but honestly, when I come back in from working out at lunch…It’s all I can do to pour myself into my chair. #realtalk

Diet: Yes! Yesterday was the first day since I started that my protein intake outweighed those pesky carbs!!! I’ve only broke even or been severely lower prior to this. This is the ratio I want. I was some evil ass-kicking looking legs by summer. Not just “Oh a little bit of definition and tone.” Oh no. I want hammies to die for and quads so defined you can see it through my exercise pants.
Workout: Went to Body Design and did Shoulders, Chest, & Tri’s. Super sweaty when I left and it felt fantastic! Then I walked Ozzy for a few minutes and sprinted up the hill by our house. Don’t know what came over me but I had this amazing bout of energy post workout. Most people get tired, but for some reason I want to continue working out. Weird, I know.

Gotta go and get more protein today. I’ve been using Isopure and its been pretty tasty. But OhYeah is delicious too. Maybe I’ll get both! :)
Happy Tuesday!

The exercise calories on this app is way off. They haven’t met my trainers.
Plus, Thomas and I went to Ikea last night and got our PAX closet. The heaviest freaking thing I’ve ever seen. When we put it onto the cart, the flipping wheels popped! So we alternated pushing that ridiculous thing all the way through Ikea to the register with flat tires. Then the joy of the ridiculous puzzle of figuring out how to put it all in my car, and then unloading. Seriously, our legs are sore from it.
(oh and that’s why we ate at Firehouse. Bad I know, but didn’t have time to cook dinner. I only ate half the bread).
Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to list the workouts I do on M/W/F with Body Design because that wouldn’t be fair to them. But I can tell you its 50 minutes of circuit training and various forms of cardio. Yesterday I did Back & Biceps.
I am absolutely humiliated to put this picture up but a promise is a promise. Every week for 10 weeks of progress pictures.
According to their measurement test, my Fat Percentage is 29.38. Yuck. Damn those ridiculous hips of mine.

Forever sore and really perturbed about doing this,
Angie
